Of Music and Poetry.

If you're a fan of the sort of music i listen to - (read the "music ilike" section in my facebook) - then 2008 is a bloody good year.

The list of artists and bands that i like from my innocent primary school days until as recently discovered - almost everyone released a good album. take this for example.

i like the boy band Take That, they made a reunion album earlier this year. i like the spice girls(who doesnt?), they made a reunion world tour!. oasis released their best work since morning glory last month. sigur ros too with their penchant for visual artistry released their icelandic record that i got hold of only this month. and it was worth the hd space!

mogwai, guns and roses (chinese democracy), smashing pumpkins (zetgeist - it was a dissapointing listen though), metallica, portishead (three) and the almighty radiohead (in rainbows) made this year a memorabe year for music. and to top it all off, the brilliant green, the jrock band whom the singer i felt madly in love with during form 2/3/4, had just released a new single and a "best of" album. a studio album is already announced to be released next year! and and and... if my rusty memory serves me correctly, the white shoes and the couples company too will release - or already released, got to google this - another studio album!

some decent bands too released some decent works like coldplay, the kooks, keane, and snow patrol although i got tired of actually trying to put effort to get a few listen. i even got hooked to the lovely wonder girls from korea last week. man u gotta see this video. they're hot like hell!

britney spears too has got a new album! WOMANIZER - repeat this till the song ends, WOW!

and thanks to sputnikmusic and last.fm, i just cant stop lisnin (and downloading) to some trip hops (massive attack, mandalay, esthero, etc), posts (explosions in the sky, godspeed you black emperor) and some good old rock music (matthew good).

man, this year is good.

When You Think You're Out of Things To Do

... the holidays can be painfully long to some people.
Especially when they have nothing better to do.

So when you grow tired of sitting in front of the pc, out of books that can inspire you to read, cant find the mood to listen to records, have nowhere left to visit, losing (and eventually got you fired and left you bereft in confidence to keep on playing) in fm08, watched the same shows on repeat on tv, out of cash to hit the town with friends, found out that your laptop is short of specs to install the long awaited fm09 and having a terrible unerasable mentality of "excercising can kill you, not excercising can kill you, i choose not to excercise", you can simply grow tired of holidays.

What the hell am i talking...
i found the dullest blog in the world and there's a new show on kbs,
and im getting used to facebook now.
sputnikmusic has been a rich source of good music to dig in to
and goal.com has now started a forum!
so, i have a lot of things to do now.
and when you think you're out of things to do, it is best to search for records of things that you always wanted to do- new year's resolution or in my case, the post before this one-

I'm still in holiday mood. dont worry!

on another note, the finals result will come out on the 17th.
i believe it'll be released earlier like the previous 3.
i have a bad feeling things won't go right...
