McDonalds vs McCurry Restaurant

The plaintiff, McDonald's, in its statement of claim, said it created the prefix 'Mc' as a trademark and that with the usage of the prefix 'Mc', together with the word 'Curry', McCurry Restaurant, which was formerly known as Restoran Penang Curry House (KL) Sdn Bhd, had misrepresented itself as being associated with McDonald's business.

The defendant, McCurry Restaurant, in its defence, contended that McDonald's could not claim monopoly or exclusive rights to the use of the prefix 'Mc', as that prefix was extensively used around the world as surnames, particularly by people of Scottish origin. --BERNAMA

I just opened the internet and since msn malaysia is my homepage, it so happened that i have to glance through some of the news and i got myself rather baffled with how many types of flu we have here on planet earth.

Because you see, apart from the normal influenza and also bird flu and not to mention, those that i haven't got a clue existed, if any, we have come across another superbly named running nose desease called - ladies and gentlemen, be prepared for the shockwave - THE SWINE FLU! oiiiinkkkkkk!!!

I'm rather busy actually at the moment, and i dont eat pig, so i would resist the need to comment on this. I only want to ask. So what's next? Cow flu?

Precious Illusions

So lately I've been listening to some old tunes i hear from schooldays. Songs from artists such as radiohead, alanis morissette, bjork and matchbox twenty keeps on playing in my wmp. In fact, i had just rediscovered my love for japanese music and in particular the band called the Brilliant Green and not to forget their oh so sexy frontlady tomoko kawase!!!

ngahahaha

That got me thinking though. Whenever examination time approaches i always tend to resort to some music and this time it makes me want to rekindle my schooldays...

Self Imposed Hiatus

Not that this blog is not having a regular run of this (heh) but just to inform those who frequent this site that the blog will experience a rather longer blog-lull period due to the impending "exhausting run of events" that will commence rather, (caughs) immediately.

friday 3/4 - stockbroking test at 3pm

monday 6/4 - technical analysis test at 8:30pm, demo presentation for hrm in the morning, hrm test, due date technical analysis assgmts

tuesday 7/4 - presentation on IT in business+reports+web site, fundamental analysis assgmt to be handed over

wed 8/4 - IT in biz (test) at 4pm, fundamental analysis test (morning)
friday 10/4 - stockbroking assignment to be handed over

saturday 11/4 - 10/5 - study week+finals

I can survive this

... can i?
