There's a Game On Facebook Called Aquarium or Something...

So many fish there in the sea;
You wanted him,
He wanted me...

And I wanted you...

Altered a little from the song Automatic Stop - The Strokes

I'm not feeling entirely down at the moment. Despite tons of assignments, read - FMI (due next week), CF (presentation on April Fool's Day, handover of assignment on the next Monday by 12), QMT test on Sunday, RM the next day and RM super assignment before the finals - I'm not feeling bad, albeit a little bit.

I think that in the future, our grand kids will uncover that tests and assignments are the ones that contribute to global warming. Imagine all those trees being murdered so that lousy novels like the twilight saga get printed out and college students all around the world got their live span reduced while bravely battling out in exam halls and meeting deadlines...

Haih, time to get serious with work...

You'd be so perfect with me but you just can't see...

In another news, I have FMI and CF assignments due next week, Arabic speaking test and video act due next month, QMT test on 3/4, CF test on I dunno when, CF presentation on Thursday next week, RM test sometime next month and RM super assignment due sometime before 15/4. This is sure as hell will going to be the most taxing couple of weeks this year...

I Want To Go To You

Zaid of the future, at this point you were writing this post using microsoft word on a UiTM bus, on your way back from the presumably horrible Personal Development trip at Morib (which proved to be mildly otherwise, thank God), nursing rather painful shots on your right arm from paintball quietly at the back of the bus. Listening to Sufjan Stevens after watching a Russell Peters rerun and waiting desperately for your facebook home to finish uploading its content with about a hundred updates waiting to be responded at, due to the ridiculously poor internet speed that could have challenged the legendary dial-up, and win in straight sets. And in the safe knowledge that you have just missed Kings of Convenience live at The Curve and one of the many girls you were having a terrible crush this year (and somehow she knows it) has been avoiding any contact with you–eye, conversation, etc -

The personality test I took while I was at Morib says that I’m a “lover”. She happens to be in the same group. I think I fall in love rather easily. Is this some kind of mental illness I'm having for falling in too easily??? Coz I think, I love her... Help me. Please?

My Birthday is in 5 Days People!!!

In 5 days I will turn 22. In 5 days, I'll be leaving for Pantai Morib. In 5 days, I won't be able to assure myself that what I'll face there is anything of passable substance.

For whatever self enriching personal development topics that I've gone through in MGTxxx class, I still feel it doesn't bode well with my principals and nature in regards to the trip.

No, I don't like being in a bus for 5 hours, I'll get dizzy. I don't like being away from cyberspace for not longer than 2 days coz I'm addicted to it. I don't like living in dorms, I just hate it. I don't like (being shot at) paintball. I don't like having to sacrifice my dignity just to entertain some random kids with a talentless display of lip syncing Hindi songs on stage. Or giving motivational speech since I myself am not motivated to go for the trip. I don't like doing something I'm not in total command of, especially during my birthday!!!

I JUST WANNA WATCH KINGS OF CONVENIENCE WITHOUT ALL THIS CRAPS DAMNIT!!!

So this time around, there will - of course - not be any birthday bash. Because of the trip to Morib. But still, since I tagged you guys into reading this piece of crap, I am having (a glimmer of) hope to at least have half of my birthday wishlist this year delivered/done/given/made/etc... to me, by you guys instead of egging me in a public display of brutality(which I managed to avoid last year due to people having forgotten my existence, and birthday). Btw, here goes :

  1. A long sleeved shirt for paintball. Neither orange nor yellow in colour. (shirt and stuff)
  2. Sony Ericsson(sp?) W-595. That same exact model and colour which got stolen by a certain celaka last year. (gadgets)
  3. A jade choker. I lost mine. (accessories)
  4. New strings for my electric guitar. Dah berkarat teruk dah!
  5. A new pair of pristine white flip flops. (accessories)
  6. Sigur Ros' Heima DVD. Orang kata the packaging is awesome and the album overall got a 4.5 at sputnikmusic. (music)
  7. Money
  8. Dan Brown's The Solomon Temple (books)
  9. Awek. Aku single lagi. (orang)
  10. Ticket and ride to watch Kings of Convenience Live at Bentley Music Auditorium at The Curve on 21/3 (gigs)
  11. Fresh undies. Mine's getting old. (shirt and stuff)
  12. A sassy cute chic to spend the night with (definitely not getting one...)
  13. Delicious, nutritious, non-poisonous MEALS (realise the capital S in it?) (free food)
  14. Next month's FHM (magz)
  15. Hamba abdi (orang)
  16. A watch. The ones with cool design. I don't mind cheap ones.(accessories)
  17. Stockings (accessories)
  18. A leather jacket so girls will go wild and for other guys to get jealous at. Or a body fit punyer sweater macam orang skarang slalu pakai. (accessories)
  19. Lene Marlin. I want her to perform in my bedroom. Tak pon Wondergirls!!! xD
  20. Trip to Iceland. (pictured above)
  21. Deodorant, shower gel. Nak habis dah (toiletries)
  22. A cap (accessories)
  23. Audrey Niffenegger's The Time Traveler's Wife (books)
  24. A fridge to store my food (electrical appliances)
  25. A 80GB minimum external hard disk(electronics)
Tu dia aih! List panjang gedabak!!! But in the end, trip kena pegi jugak... kan bes kalau trip cancel tapi still boleh clear markah PD tu kannn???

p/s : It has been 3 days now since I last had water running in my bathroom. Which also means that I haven't shyte for the past 3 days. Though there's water downstairs, I don't feel like doing business down there. It's just that I don't feel proper. But somehow, I can't keep it in any longer. It's time to get the bike...

Happy Belated Birthday (again) to My Blog

Four years ago, on 26th February, I posted my very first proper blog post using blogspot. A solid 2 years after my experiment post on the site.

The blog's name was initially called "el-bloggo". And it changed quite often from "blogogo" to "blegh" and a few variations in between them until I chose to settle down with the name No Surprises 2 (due to other people already taken the name No Surprises).

The layout back then was some basic blogspot template which I used for about 2 years (the basic black template one) and it used to have the game pacman and a few youtube vids of my favourite songs in it on the right hand corner of the blog. And oh! The header (which bore the words "no alarms and no surprises and a cropped picture of my eyes) was half-filled, and it remained for a long time until I moved out from matrics.

While reading the old posts, I realised my transformation from being a ditzy teenager who can't even spell and often looked at the world as if they are out to get me to someone whose more mature (I think) and appreciates the small joys the world has got to offer.

Over the years, I have vent my frustrations, rambled about the injustice of the world like no one else's business, talked about the various chics I have fallen for, my experience with my exfgs, the places I've been and the many (unfair) things those places(and the system) did to me and my state of mind. This is also the place I talked about football, economics, politics, my ambitions, the things I saw, the crazy things I did and the targets I set (like the cliched new year's resolution).

This, and many more over the past 4 years have seen No Surprises 2 played the role of a close ally to me - or even a friend who listens to even the smallest of matters - accompanying me in my journey to adulthood. And I hope it continues until... well, when I have grandkids?

HAPPY 4TH ANNIVERSARY NO SURPRISES2!!!!!

The Only Thing About My House...

I like the place I'm renting at.
Nice room, nice house.
Nice housemates, nice neighbourhood.
The place itself is very convenient and lively.
Downstairs, you can find many eateries, a grocery store, a mini market, 2 stationery shops, 2 computer shops, 2 ccs, a tuition centre, a wedding/gift store, a motel and the all legendary karaoke centre.

The only thing about my house that I hate is... it has a regular water interruption. It's like a monthly thing. Like what I'm having right now :B

Fucking Addicted to This

Desperate, thirsty and the fact that the climate Arau Saudi has become for a couple of months now - which is sticky-hot-as-hell - has resulted in me searching for something to cool down my system, so I went down to a shop downstairs whom Kas, a course-mate of mine is working at part time.
In the spirit of experimentation, I chose what I first thought a cunningly disguised cucumber juice only to be proved wrong and got myself equally marveled at the ignorance I had while at the shops as I often overlooked the dull-looking green canned drink and the taste of sheer soothness this can of wintermelon tea(pictured above) has brought my body to.
Indeed, this can of wonder belies it's apparent mono-coloured non attractive visual package on it's container as it's soothingness and indescribable pleasant taste demands my wallet to allocate RM1.50 everyday exclusively just to purchase a can of this drink. Definitely this drink deserves better can jacket and marketing, no?
And, in the spirit of sharing, I would like to recommend my readers to try a can to get the sticky hotness feeling of Arau Saudi(or anywhere else with a 40 Celcius temperature) out of the system.

No, I'm not working for Yeo's.
